I had the honor of being able to collaborate with Josh Rossi last month for a European inspired bridal photo-shoot. For those Utah wedding blog followers, you may have come across this set of amazing photos on Utah Bride Blog where they were featured last month. I LOVED the way they turned out!
I have a confession to make… I have actually never met Josh in person and this is the second shoot we have done together so he’s still a bit of a mystery to me. Regardless, his work is one of my new obsessions and I can hardly wait to team up again.
In an industry full of talent, what makes Josh so different then the rest?? Well, here’s my take on why you need to work with Josh..
Josh was born in Italy so not only does fashion and art flow through his veins, he uses his roots as inspiration in all his work. Just check out his website, you will see what I am talking about. With an advertising background, he knows how to deliver photography that will sell. I’m not talking selling like making money, I’m talking like I am “SOLD” on Josh Rossi and his photography. His approach is unlike any other. When you visit his website, you can clearly see the man has taste. From the music right down to the page of his favorite quotes. Everything about his talent is inspiring. Check out our collaboration below. Click on the picture and a gallery will pop up.
So I want everyone to get to know one of my new favorite photographers. Be sure to check Josh’s website HERE where you will get a better feel for his unsurpassed talent.
Here’s the lowdown on my portion of the creative collaboration…
MAKEUP: I used plums, purples, golds, navy blues and blacks by Laura Mercier and Makeup Forever to create Gen’s smokey eye. I blended a light and medium pink with a coral for the blush. On the lips, I chose Revlon’s long-wear lip gloss no. 500 which also happens to be one of my favorite colors. Love that stuff. The best part, you can pick it up at Walmart for a whopping 8 bucks. Unless you are a “never nude” you will love this color.
HAIR: I set the hair with a one inch curling iron. Released the curls and combed them out. Backcombed the bangs for lift and then pulled the remainder of the hair into an exaggerated bun and added a flower to finish the look.

On a personal note, I want to thank Josh for being so great to work with and Malachi, you ARE my favorite face..
