Let’s take this all the way down low. The low fade is the dope low rider of the fade world. A low fade is where the hair is cut short on the sides and gradually tapers to just above the ears. The difference between a low fade and high fade is how high the fade goes up the side of the head. The low fade is a more subtle fade that is more suitable for those who want to practice a little more discretion or need a formal cut whether it be for work or business.

The low fade is classic cut that past the test of time and people throughout the world continue to rock the low fade in a variety of different forms and styles. In this list, we get up close and personal into the world of low fades.

low-fade

The Classic Low Fade

This man is looking quite dapper with his low fade and side part. His hair has been meticulously brushed and then product has been applied to hold it in place. He is also rocking a bit of temp fade to add a bit of edge to the hairstyle.
This man is ready for action, ready for whatever life throws at him and he will be doing it in style.

When you get your fade don’t be afraid to mix up add your own personal touches such as colors or tracks if that’s what tickles your fancy. Separate yourself from the pack and make the ladies stand to attention when your strutting down the street John Travolta style. As the Bee Gees once sung. I I I I’m staying alive.

The Edge

The featured in the image above is living on the edge. Well, I don’t know about his personal life but his haircut says it all. He has a track or edge shaved into his low fade which adds a certain zest or appeal.

A modest fade can turn into a badass hairstyle with the addition of tracks or something to take it to the next level. Get a fade then try some tracks in the eyebrows for a totally gangster off the cuff outsider appeal. You can be the rebel without a cause, part of the rat pack, or the man with too much time on his hands.

Fade with Long Fringe

This old sport is rocking a fade with a long fringe. This style gives you many options in the way of style. He could brush it up to pompadour which is a large quiff style wave at the front or he could wear it down like he is now.

He looks like an out of work bike courier don’t you think or maybe an computer repair person who studying to be the next big internet mogul. I wonder what the next technology break through will be. Artificial Intelligence is advancing fast. We might be all out of jobs in the next 20 years and replaced by robots.

It sounds good if you hate your job and feel that a monkey could do it. Leave the monkeys alone and let the robots do it instead.

This also raises the question of how are people going to make money to survive?

Some countries are already trialing a base income and the results have been positive. It’s just a matter of time before the rest of the world catches on and follows suit.
Will artificial intelligence become so smart that they will take over the human race as the dominant species. All these questions remain unanswered at the present time but it’s something to ponder anyway.

Fade with Long Hair

You can rock a fade with any length hair. They are so versatile as you can see from the image above. This fine looking gentlemen has medium to long hair and is rocking a sweet fade, and a beard, and blonde streaks. That makes him the first triple threat of the list. Look out ladies because this man is loose on the streets breaking hearts where ever he goes.

High Fade Vs Low Fade

The age old battle that has waged on throughout ages between the two fades rumbles in the distance as these two goliaths go head to head in the stylistic showdown of the century. Well, that was sensationalizing it a bit, but as I said before the difference in the height of the fade. High fades tend to look a bit more edgy and unkempt.

Both hairstyles look cool, it’s just a matter of which one you prefer better. I think I would go the high fade with some sweet lighting bolt tracks to punk it up a bit because I like to think of myself as a bit of a rock and roller. Maybe if I was a corporate executive I would go for the low fade to fool people into thinking that I’m a square.

We live in a visual culture and first appearances really count unfortunately. People are always judging books by their cover before getting to know them properly.

Vanilla Ice is Back with Vengeance

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on the radio and baggy pants were a thing of the past. The quiff style haircut was dead and buried. Think again. He’s back and he’s coming for you in all his cold cold glory. Vanilla ice is back. Well his haircut seems to be. As you can see from the image above this guy is rocking out the Vanilla Ice look. Why you may ask? Only god and this guy know.

I’m not a big fan of this style of haircut to be honest. It looks like it’s very high maintence and a little pretentious. But I understand that everyone is different which is a good thing. I accept that his man loves this hairstyle and he is a fellow human and should be embraced with open arms.

Just because someone is different doesn’t mean they should be excluded from the gang. We are all one after all. Every living thing on this planet is connected in some way.

Top Knot or Man Bun

This pop locker is rocking the top knot with a fade. That sentence is fun to say. Try saying three times in a row really fast. It could almost considered the start of rap song. Look out Eminem here I come.

The top knot is a great way to tame unruly hair for formal events. This guy is looking dapper with his man bun and fringe slightly pulled out for that extra edginess. The hairstyle works with a suit and tie or board shorts at the beach.
Obviously you need longish hair to pull this one off but it’s a good excuse to grow your long and start smoking weed on the beach. Who needs excuse though. I’ll be doing that anyway. Oh what a blessed life we live.

High Fade

This is a classic high fade. We can compare and contrast the difference between high and low. The high fade is shaved high up the hair and makes way for hairstyles such as mohawks and undercuts.

It also give you a blank canvas to create hair art like this son of gun featured in the image above. I’m not sure what that symbol means but it looks pretty cool. Do you know what the symbol shaved into this mans head means? Hit us up in the comments below and let us know- we love hearing from you.

Fade with High and Tight

This strong proud black man is rocking the fade and is king of his domain and supreme in the style department. He strutting down the streets of New York without a care in the world chasing his dreams of being a Wall street broker. With a hairstyle like that he’s bound to make an impression.

Dude, if you are reading this I wish you well on your journey in life and I have faith that you will achieve whatever you set your mind to. If you fall don’t be afraid to get back on the horse. That’s what separates the elite from the average. The ability to take a fall and get back on the horse as soon as you can. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and smile.

Try not to take life to seriously. Sometimes I think it’s all a big joke that doesn’t really mean anything so you may as well be happy while you’re on this planet. Some wise sage like person once said that “Everything you do is insignificant but you must do it”.

Low Drop Fade to Get you Laid

Well, it’s a possibility. A haircut might help, but a good personality will get you even further in life. They should have a subject at school to teach people how to be nice people and the world would be a much better place.

Unfortunately, at the moment this is not the case. Parents should take a bigger responsibility in raising their children to be nice people rather than leaving it up to the schools. The teachers aren’t really paid enough for the responsibility of education the youth of today to become leaders of the future. Give the teachers a pay rise you cheap bastards.

Money for Nothing

As soon as money gets involved people start cutting cost which leads to declining quality. This can applied to almost any product or service. Greed is an ugly trait and unfortunatley we are taught from a young age that we must have the best of the best. The best gadgets, the best house, the best car. It’s ingrained in us from an early age that we must consume regularly to be feel good about ourselves.

That’s how our system keeps on turning. You need to keep buying to keep the business going so they can pay tax to keep the elite government in power.
Imagine what would happen if everybody did nothing for three days. Nobody consumed a god damn thing. The whole system would freak out. Let’s tryit.

Flat Top Low Fade

The Afro

The afro has to be one of my favorite hairstyles of all time. It’s big and voluptuous and reminds of the seventies. A time before smartphones and the internet existed. People actually spoke to each other rather than texting and kids would play in the streets with each other rather sitting on their phone and getting depressed by cyber bullying or seeing images of other peoples lives and comparing.

Apparently social media is said to be responsible for young people suffering mental health. They become victim of cyber bullying and they always feel they are lacking when they see other people posting how amazing their lives are. As they say comparison is the killer of joy.

Everyone on this earth is walking their own path. What is good for some people is not necessarily good for you. Live your life to the fullest and don’t worry about what other people are doing. Everyone suffers in life, rich people, poor people, it doesn’t matter but in the end we all bleed red.

The Emo Fade

Are you an emotionally charged person who likes music about love and emotions. Well, you’re in luck. So dry your eyes and head on down to your local barber and get one of these bad boys you won’t be disjointed or maybe you will because the weight of the world is bearing down on you. Just kidding.

This style of haircut was made popular by emo bands in the early 2000’s. For emo hairstyle it has to have a long fringe. It’s essential. The longer the fringe the more emotional you are. It also doubles as curtain to screen you from the world and people won’t be able to see you crying all the time. All jokes aside I think most people had a long fringe stage in their hair careers. It wasn’t called emo until later down the track but the underlying motif was there.

Tom Hardy! The man! The Enigma!

Tom Hardy is rocking the low fade in all it’s glory. This man is an absolute legend. He was an ex junkie turned film star and now he is striving forward in leaps and bounds. He first made an impact on the scene starring as Bronson the biopic about the hard ass English criminal that turned to art as his savior when he was in prison.

His absolutely killed it in his recent role as Venom. The movie got mixed reviews but I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it to anyone. It’s not going to win any oscar’s but its entertaining none the less.

Fade with Waves

When the wave rolls in you better be ready to ride it. This guy will be rolling on into town with his fade with waves and his sweet twirly mustache. He’s got it going on.

That’s beauty of the fade style is that it can be paired with anything other style and still look amazing. Tracks, waves, undercuts it all looks good with a fade down the side of your head. Add some color and you have yourself a party on your head and everyone is invited.

This is the new era. The era of the fade.

Colorful Fades

All the colors of the rainbow are featured in the next few images. See how it brightens up the lives who wear it and those luck enough  to see it. Which color would you get? I would get all the colors of the rainbow with a jet black rats tail out the back for an extra touch. The ice cream on top and the cherry with whipped cream and all the trimmings. YOLO

Fade with Short Hair

If you’re a sportsman and need to be stream lined this could be the hairstyle for you. It’s super simple cut that is practical and it will keep the hair out of your face while you’re competing in sports. Who knows it may even elevate your game to the next level and before you know it you will be dunking on LeBron with effortless ease.

A haircut will only be partly responsible for this. A lot of time spent practicing will also help. You will have to sacrifice partying to be the best. Spend the time you would getting drunk shooting threes and practicing your lay ups.

That’s what Jordan did. He didn’t even get picked for the high school basketball team. He used his failure to be selected as fuel to become the best. Find out what motivates you and use it to your advantage.

We did it again! Glad you made it to the end of the list with me and I hope you enjoyed my musings and captions. I also hope that this list has given you some ideas for your next visit to the barber shop. We have seen the low fade in all it’s glory, and all different styles. Fades don’t have to be boring. It’s all up to the individual at hand. Get creative and have fun with it.
